Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. It is a meringue cake with a crisp crust and soft, light inside, usually topped with whipped cream and fruit. Even in its original non-paleo version, Pavlova is considered to be light, healthier dessert. Hey, if ballerinas can eat it, so can everyone else, right? In its paleo version, Pavlova is even better! With maple syrup in place of sugar and coconut milk in place of whipped cream, this paleo dessert is simply outstanding. Top with your choice of seasonal fruit and, vois la – you have a melt in your mouth paleo treat that requires minimum of simple ingredients but provides maximum of satisfaction.
